Yarn Storytelling

Stories can break down barriers, gain a greater understanding of our neighbours and change hearts and minds. This value belongs to Yarn Storytelling, which was founded in 2012 and features true and live stories, without notes. Held in backyards, bars, venues, theatres, and outdoor stages around Brisbane, people come together at Yarn to share, hear, and connect through stories. Yarn is showcasing exciting stories centred around the theme, "FESTIVAL".

This event will feature two seasoned storytellers from the Yarn stables, as well as four Jungle Love audience members who will have a chance to win a $50 bar tabs for "Audience Favourite" and "Producer's Pick." The only rules are that the story must be true, it must be no longer than 7 minutes, and it will be told live on stage without the aid of notes.

Yarn Storytelling has grown to become a Brisbane institution. If you've ever dreamed of making a captive audience laugh, cry, gasp, or a combination of all three, by bearing your soul onstage, now is your chance!
